The NAEPC Foundation was formed in 2005 with the purpose of enhancing the educational process for all members of the estate planning team and for the general public those practitioners serve.
Through its affiliation with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, the 220+ local estate planning councils affiliated with NAEPC and their estimated 25,000+ multi-disciplinary members, The NAEPC Foundation will meet the goal of educating the public about the need for estate planning by a qualified team of professionals.
Our Mission:
- To educate the public regarding the benefits of the multi-disciplinary team concept of estate planning as espoused by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils;
- to develop educational programs regarding estate planning for estate planning professionals;
- to develop and promote a community outreach program for the general public; and
- to hold educational conferences, seminars, forums, and meetings regarding estate planning.
| HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ANYONE SAY…
"I'm too young to do estate planning."
"All my property is titled in joint tenancy with my spouse so I don't need a will."
"Estate planning is only for the super rich."
"Estate planning is too complicated and expensive."
"Doesn't the government provide for that?"
"We did our wills right after we got married 30 years ago and see no need for further planning."
|
Through our public outreach efforts we will educate the public on what estate planning is, why it is so important, the reasons to do estate planning and how to best identify the professional team of advisors ready to assist. During this educational process we will help to correct common misconceptions about estate planning and re-emphasize the need for a qualified team of professionals to handle the process.
